Notes from the Bottom of my Bag

Sometimes it is the notes you write to yourself that help people the most.  I don't know on what exact day I wrote this or what made me even write it, but two days ago I found this note in the bottom of my bag.

It reads:

Sometimes when God heals you, a scar is left as a reminder of what He has healed you from.  It is up to you not to irritate that scar before it is completely healed; which can cause the wound to reopen.  Eventually your skin will heal over the scar.  The scar will become smaller and smaller.  Allow God to nurse and nurture your wounds for complete healing.

There are times we become impatient waiting on God for complete healing.  It's coming but healing takes time.  In your healing process it is extremely important not to pick at your scars.  Don't go back to what scarred you initially.  Avoid things or situations that will seep into the wound and burn it.

God is Jehovah Rapha.  He is the one that will nurture us back to wholeness, if we allow him to.   No matter what your afflictions/wounds are, God is and will forever be our great healer.

O, Lord my God, I cried to you and you have healed me. -Psalm 30:2
